Fantastic
location
“An absolutely fantastic location. We arrived with little preparation and had an unforgettable winter holiday experience. The lodge is nicely located at a hillside with plenty of regular or snowshoe walking trails through the forest and across frozen rivers. The huts design is very well thought through and offers a quite luxury Nordic experience through the big front window. Also, the hut is spacious and well-equipped for a weekly stay. Food, drinks and staff met our expectations or exceeded them. All in all the best choice we could have possibly made.”

“It was our first time in Lapland and if this is the standard I don’t know what or how anything else can beat it.
Riekko Lodge is glorious for lack of a better word. The location, the staff, the nature.
We got the greatest viewing of the northern lights based on a staff recommendation that alone was worth the five stars.
The breakfast was great as well, very good standards overall.
I hope we can be back soon.”

“I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Riekko Lodge from March 25-27, and it exceeded every expectation. The level of quality here is incredibly high—from the intentional interior design to the stunning location and views. The facilities are well-thought-out, making it perfect for both quick getaways and longer stays. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the entire space was spotless. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the staff; they are incredibly attentive, with a genuine eye for detail. I highly recommend Riekko Lodge whether you are visiting for the winter snow or the greener seasons!”

“Stunning brand new property in the heart of Lapland. Loved all the meals and great service. They hire out all the appropriate winter gear (boots, gloves, jackets etc) that helped us enjoy the nearby husky, snow mobile and snow shoe tours despite the -30 deg temp. All highly recommended.
The villas are very well kitted out with full kitchen living space and sauna with huge windows opening onto the snowy forest”

Wonderland Getaway
“We booked the Riekko Lodge before it even opened, so it was a shot in the dark and all based on gut feeling, but I can say that our experience surpassed expectations. We were 6 people, including our 2-year old daughter, and we stayed in an Äkäs 2 villa, so one of the larger villas with two bedrooms and private view. The villa was perfect – plenty of space for all of us, and it still smelled of new! The views from the villa were amazing, giving you this feeling of being immersed in nature with snow-covered trees. And the best comes at night when the clouds clear and the sky lights up with stars and the dancing aurora. –“

with Nature
“We had a wonderful stay at Riekko Lodges! My husband and me (77 & 75 years), our son and his wife (38 & 37) and their 2 children (10 & 4) felt in wonderland during our stay from 30th December till 4th January. The whole area was covered with snow, the lodges were impeccable, nicely decorated, perfect heath although temperature outside was -35° C. The restaurant area is in complete harmony with the nature all around, soft and modern with a warm fireplace in the middle. –“
