Riekko Lodge – A New Travel Destination in Ylläs
Riekko Lodge is a tourism investment project co-funded by the European Union. The objective of the project was to create a new, high-quality, year-round accommodation and tourism destination in Äkäslompolo, Ylläs, combining accommodation, restaurant services and opportunities to enjoy the nature and activities of Finnish Lapland throughout the year.
As a result of the project, 28 holiday villas and shared facilities serving the resort and its guests were constructed. The investment has created a new tourism destination in the Ylläs area and provides a strong foundation for developing year-round tourism and services.
