Although surrounded by Arctic wilderness, the village of Äkäslompolo is just 5 km away. Additionally, Kittilä Airport (55 km) and Kolari train station (40 km) are easily reachable by public transport, making your arrival and exploration effortless.

Yes. The ski tracks in Äkäslompolo are near Riekko Lodge, giving you easy access to the fells and surrounding nature.

The nearest slopes are approximately 11,4km away, located in Äkäslompolo side at Ylläs Ski Resort North. The South side of Ylläs Ski Resort is also accessible, on the other side of the fell and through the lifts from North side.
